I wanted to like this game and did enjoy it until I came across the "Lute" bug and even after 3 different work arounds, it still doesn't fix the issue. The fact this game has been out for over a year and a half with this bug still present even after it's been reported multiple times is insane. Don't waste your money. :(

Update to my original review (original below the break): With the 'Spick & Span' update the devs seem to have addressed my main complaint, which is that discovering all of the trinkets easily doubles the playtime. An update was made to the RNG, prioritizing undiscovered trinkets, per the patch notes. With that being said, I'm going to change my review from 'no' to 'yes' with the hope that they in the future add more upgrades to the chipping tool as well, for the sake of future gamers. W devs ------------- This game seemed like it would be enjoyable. I love cleaning games, cozy games, shop management games, so it seemed like it would be great! I wish I had read more of the reviews before buying/playing. The grind is absolutely unreal. It took me 30+ hours of cleaning thousands of trinkets and only around day 400 did I FINALLY uncover the last trinket for that achievement. The chipping system to uncover trinkets is tedious and while it does get better with upgrades, at the highest level it is not enough of a difference to make me hate the task any less. The story is lovely, the characters are delightful, but playing the game -- I absolutely cannot recommend. As an achievement hunter I refuse to buy the DLC to get to the last 5 achievements, which is unfortunate. Had the devs made the chipping tool less irritating or the RNG a little less grindy I do think this would have been a really lovely game.

3/10 constant clicking to the point where your fingers will hurt - ai shart - feels like its got some ai coding as well. tons of bugs - game gave me a steam achievement for doing a thing i didn't do and wasnt even close to unlocking. looks like its is locked behind paid DLC that i dont own. other people getting the same thing - object loading in buggy. purchased a lamp and its missing textures sometimes

Honestly, you can tell not much love went into this. On paper, it’s great. But honestly, just read through because I have many gripes. Their tutorial is confusing and they don’t even go over everything. The cleaning was confusing and somehow they made it even more annoying than actual cleaning itself which I don’t mind and it’s hard on the wrist as it’s very tedious and I have wrist problems. They somehow mixed up their lefts and rights with a bunch of stuff which completely screwed up the frog plushie quest for me and it’s a year old and even that isn’t fixed. It’s an abandoned cash grab game that preys on people’s love for aesthetics and after playing, you can genuinely tell. It’s tedious and just rinse and repeat with no new or interesting things happening at a certain point. I’ll probably add this to the list of companies to never buy from again. Don’t always buy something just because the reviews are positive. I’d watch a game play or a demo first and that’s what I’m learning. And again on the tutorial, it doesn’t show you how to really do anything or even how to buy the stuff you need and where it is. It’s confusing and there genuinely was not much effort into it and you can TELL.

Не рекомендую эту игру, спустя 286 дней я зачистила и тд все предметы, ну это реальный треш. Где хотя бы сортировка предметов в списке, что собрали, что покрасили или алфавитный порядок, может быть по новизне? - НИЧЕГО. Спать раньше нельзя, про сохранения вообще молчу. И вы почему указываете достижения дополнения в основной игре? Как говориться: спасибо, дура. 28 часов дрочильни в помойку.

When I bought this game and played it first, I enjoyed it greatly. I hadn't gotten that far, but played it for over ten hours still. But then, I got frustrated with a few of the mechanisms, and I stopped. So when cleaning up my steam library, and I looked at this game again, I thought I'd check up on it. I am so, so happy I did. In the time that I put this game down, it has had quite a few updates that I have LOVED. I would have already recommended it in its previous state. And now it's even better.

still new to the game, only about 2 hours in. but i have watched some gameplay on TikTok, and i have to say i'm not a huge fan of the storage system as it progresses and how little you get from the pay what you can box. it is repetitive, but that's what i was looking for in a game. definitely worth trying. love the fact you're a goblin as well.

This game is so deeply delightful. If you're looking for something action-packed, look elsewhere but-- If you're looking for a game with a lot of charm, a lot of heart, and a WHOLE LOT OF TRINKETS...this might be for you. I'm constantly tickled by seeing what I can put together and the wildly random assortment of characters, be they strangers or named NPCs. Plus the story is delightful. The dev team is actively working on updates and additions, and while they've not said precisely how much they intend to add, there is something of a roadmap. Would I recommend this to someone who needs deeply-exciting games to feel engaged? No. But I would recommend it to anyone who appreciates a found-family story, has a little bit of a creative streak, and appreciates a good trinket or two. Also Donoval is Best Boy.
