Turok is back and no dinosaur is safe! A world where time has no meaning - and evil knows no bounds. Torn from a world long gone, the time traveling warrior Turok has found himself thrust into a savage land torn by conflict. An evil overlord known as 'The Campaigner' seeks to shred the fabric of time and rule the universe using an ancient artifact known as 'The Chronoscepter'.
The Chronoscepter was shattered thousands of years ago in an effort to keep it from falling into evil hands. The Campaigner has constructed a massive focusing array which he plans to use to magnify and pervert the power of the Chronoscepter in order to shatter the barriers between the ages and rule the universe. Turok has vowed to find the eight pieces of the Chronoscepter spread throughout the Lost Land and put an end to The Campaigner's evil plot...

Hands down a great port of a childhood game. Loved it on the N64 and being able to relive it again brings strong nostalgia even keeping things like the view distance fog the N64 had. They even added cut content Brachiosaurus’ in the levels which couldn’t be done on the original cartridge

Very fun and fast paced. I recommend this HD-Textures mod to go along with it (Turok (1) Best-Of HD Texture Pack + Visual Fixes).

TL:DR not just a nostalgia buy, genuinely peak gaming and that is coming from me who couldn't even do skyrim a couple years ago because it just felt liek I missed the boat on it timing wise, having not played it withing 10 years of the launch. Even if it is not on sale it is actually totally worht the $28 or whatever, which I wasn't really that keen on paying just for a nostalgia buy I might not even play much, but it is actually wort it and I reckon i'm going to put hours in, worth it even if you are gen z tbh, not just boomer millenial nostalgia slop like I thought it would be. I was expecting to not even enjoy it, downloaded for nostalgia becuase i loved it when i was little in the 90s, it is actually so good, crispy mouse input and gunplay, music is great, it is very doom like with health and ammo use and quick pacing, a bit of the old fashioned remembering enemy patterns, hidden stuff, I couldn't even get into skyrim from aged graphics because I didn't play it when I came out so I thought I wouldn't bear this but it is actually peak. Enemies respwawn quick so you gotta keep moving, the pacing is so good, you gotta keep moving but it isn't over the top like doom where you want to stop playing after 30-60 minutes, it has so much character, unique sounds and nice care to details, looking at the thumbnails and footage it looks ass but play it, it's actually great. Oh and the port seems perfect, how we all wish games would jsut run now, just perfect frame draw times all the time, flat graph, high fps ZERO hitching

One of the best N64 classics, featuring an impeccable remaster and modernized gameplay. This game is a gem; if you weren't around to enjoy it back in the day, now is a fantastic opportunity to do so. It’s worth every penny. Highly recommended—it has aged beautifully.

Empecé en la franquicia con Turok: Evolution y quise jugar la trilogía clásica, empezando por Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, al principio resulta ser confuso, pero a medida que juegas el gameplay se vuelve entretenido y divertido con toda la atmosfera de Lost Land, muy recomendado para quienes son fans de la franquicia.

Один из лучших ремастеров классики 90-х. Nightdive вообще лучшие. У них всегда получаются отличные ремастеры, как например с ремастерами первого Quake и первых двух частей Doom. Очень жду от них ремастеры таких игр, как F. E. A. R., Condemned, No One Lives Forever, Aliens versus Predator 2, Soldier of Fortune, GUN, Singularity, Hexen 2 и др. Моя оценка оригинальному Turok - 9.2 из 10, а ремастеру - 9 из 10. Я рекомендую всем купить эту классику. В неё должен поиграть каждый уважающий себя геймер.
