Wish I could love Armello again. Truth is I adore the game, its mechanics, and even didn't mind when they added the microtransaction shop. What has bitten me though, is that the servers simply don't work. To give you an idea, I've played almost exclusively multiplayer matches, and can confidently say after they added cross-play (this was a long time ago) I've only had a hand full of matches that didn't kick someone mid-way. Normally, this would be okay as whatever sure reconnect and we're good, but that isn't an option. Charging 25 for a game missing its beating heart feels like a crime. If you get lucky, and the game works well, and the server gods smile upon you, its a delightful game I could easily recommend. Otherwise, you'll be frantically trying over and over to just complete a single match with your friends. The devs have openly abandoned the game citing "We've done everything we can, but we don't have money left.". I can believe the money ran out, but what I can't believe is that they've "Tried everything" when the game performs as it does online. Were it stable again I'd happily recommend Armello more as I have in the past, but as it stands it's dead in the water and a singleplayer experience.

Hello everyone! I am French but I allow myself to write in English, it will be simpler. Let’s come to Armello! A game released in 2017 that had many additions, DLC and quite a lot of cosmetic content (especially dice level!) The game is a quite difficult board game to fully handle, with all the little details that make the difference, but very complete! I want to say that he’s like a werewolf but we’re all wolves haha. I love this game because the games are really exciting and you’re never sure of winning, you have to know how to adapt constantly and that’s what makes the soul of this game, even though sometimes karma can hurt your ego hahaha! No matter how hard we try, the game has decided otherwise. Despite everything, there are crashes in multiplayer and it’s really a shame because when you crash, you can’t (anymore?) join the game. I sincerely hope that one day there will be something to fix this major flaw, despite the fact that the development team has stopped updating it. In short, it’s still an excellent game and I can only recommend it to you! I hope my opinion will help you make your choice (on the other hand, don’t expect a speed run, it’s impossible).

What it does, it does well. Highly recommended. Fun gameplay, excellent art, haven't run into any bugs in my playtime.

Fun digital board game with lots of flair, card drafting from 3 kinds of deck (4 if you count treasure!), questing, plenty of chances to throw dice at perils and combats, asymmetrical factions and characters, varied starting build options... there's a lot of interworking mechanics that aren't too complicated but come together to make a quite fun game filled with backstabbing, spell-slinging, and bloody battles. Public multiplayer is still active -enough- to find games regularly, wait times vary from around 5 minutes to 30+; I recommend playing with friends (less likely to ragequit... hopefully), or a relevant discord to find additional players.

A very cute boardgame that you can play solo or multiplayer. The concept is original and amazing. The characters and abilities are well-thought out. In a mere boardgame, you can play your character as good or evil, in a way, as you try to either save or take over the kingdom. The flexibility in storytelling is refreshing for such a simple style of game. I truly enjoy playing it with friends. I wish more people would play online multiplayer, as currently there is quite a wait time for online games. If you are reading this because you just came across the game for the first time, or perhaps you see it on sale, I say wholeheartedly that it is worth the purchase if you are into boardgames and cute characters. Don't forget to collect your daily free die, and level them up to get some legendary dice.

fun simple enough to learn casual version of most rpgs of this style, definitely recommend to anyone who wants a fun gaming experience
