Originally released by LucasArts in 1993 as a sequel to Ron Gilbert’s ground breaking Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle is a mind-bending, time travel, cartoon puzzle adventure game in which three unlikely friends work together to prevent an evil mutated purple tentacle from taking over the world!
Now, over twenty years later, Day of the Tentacle is back in a remastered edition that features all new hand-drawn, high resolution artwork, with remastered audio, music and sound effects (which the original 90s marketing blurb described as ‘zany!’).
Players are able to switch back and forth between classic and remastered modes, and mix and match audio, graphics and user interface to their heart’s desire. We’ve also included a concept art browser, and recorded a commentary track with the game’s original creators Tim Schafer, Dave Grossman, Larry Ahern, Peter Chan, Peter McConnell and Clint Bajakian.
Day of the Tentacle was Tim Schafer’s first game as co-project lead, and a much beloved cult classic! This special edition has been lovingly restored and remade with the care and attention that can only come from involving the game's original creators.

Это скорее нейтральный отзыв и сразу отмечу, что в игру по итогу зашел как контент турист и проходил по гайду и не жалею. Для ремастера игры 1993 года, который ещё и является сиквелом, игра вышла хорошей, однако стоит помнить, что это всё же классика среди квестов и порой не легко найти логичные шаги для прохождения игры. Повествование прикольное, ремейк по арту вышел неплохим, шуточки-прибауточки имеются, внутри игры можно пройти и первую часть, но я не стал, в том числе и для достижения. Русификатор если что можно найти. К интерфейсу надо привыкать P.S. если бы игру не подарили, вряд ли бы ознакомился, но вот я здесь :)

Das darf sich auf alle Fälle auch Remastered Betiteln. Das Klassische Point`N Click Adventure ist auch heute noch wirklich gut. Auch wer es von früher kennt wird sich über die neue Grafik und auch Vertonung freuen. Sie haben tolle Sprecher gefunden und es war super lustig, ich wünschte mir es würden mehr Adventure wieder geben mit soviel Witz.

Das ist mit eins der Spiele, das ich in meiner Jugend gespielt habe. Ein typisches Point and Click Game der alten Schule. Einfach witzig.

One of the best point and click adventures ever made. Classic cartoon joke-writing, silly puzzles, and enough twists and turns to keep it interesting to the end. And bonus: OG Maniac Mansion is playable within it, so it's 2 games in 1.

Es una aventura gráfica muy divertida, de las mejores que he jugado. Es muy original el jugar en tres momentos del tiempo diferentes y que las acciones de unos tengan consecuencias en el futuro. Lo jugamos con mi pareja que no está muy acostumbrada a este tipo de experiencias y le encantó, así que también me parece bueno para introducir a personas al género. Si no lo habéis jugado, o incluso si no estáis muy familiarizados con las aventuras gráficas, dadle una oportunidad. Os llevareis una sorpresa.

A pure nostalgia hit. A classic through and through. If you like dead presidents and psychopathic tentacles (with some love beds and hamsters thrown in for good measure) then you'll love this point and click adventure.

Day of the Tentacle Remastered — 10/10 An absolute point & click classic — and still one of the funniest adventure games ever made. Day of the Tentacle is one of those games that immediately takes me back to the golden age of LucasArts in the 90s. The crazy characters, the cartoon graphics, the absurd humor and especially the brilliant puzzles involving three characters in three different time periods are still fantastic today. The whole idea of changing something in the past so that it affects the future is incredibly clever, and some of those puzzles are permanently burned into my memory. What I loved: • Brilliant time-travel puzzle design • Three characters interacting across different eras • Fantastic LucasArts humor • Completely ridiculous and memorable characters • Wonderful cartoon style • Some of the most creative puzzles in point & click history • Excellent remastered graphics, sound and interface • Instant switching between the original and remastered version Double Fine did exactly what a remaster of a classic should do: improve the presentation without destroying what made the original special. And considering Tim Schafer was already one of the creative minds behind the original, it feels especially fitting that Double Fine brought it back so carefully. More than 30 years later, Day of the Tentacle is still funny, clever and incredibly charming. 10/10 — a timeless LucasArts masterpiece and one of the games that defines the point & click genre for me.
