This is a short and humorous game! I enjoyed every second of it. It is not overly hard but also not very easy. If you want a nice game to play for a few hours and like mysteries I would recommend this one! 8/10

A charming and quirky adventure game that sees us control the titular Duck Detective as he investigates a simple case that spirals into a full-blown conspiracy. Part of this game's appeal lies in its use of the typical trappings of detective fiction - the black-and-white shots as you enter locations, the gruff affectation for the Detective's voice acting, even the jaded recaps he gives throughout the game - juxtaposed against the mundanity of the plot, which sees our hero called to a bus depot to work out who nicked a cat's lunch. Solving the mystery is a matter of beating some text-based logic puzzles. By chatting to people and examining items, we accrue an array of relevant words, which can be inputted to fill out the statements in our notebook. Once done so correctly the game advances, but in turn the number of variables for each new statement increases. This can make some of the later ones hard to parse, though the game has a gentle suite of accessibility options to help players struggling with them.

Its really cute and fun, but for the price I feel it should've had a little more content. If you buy it, I would recommend buying it on sale

Incredibly short and basic game that uses the same game mechanics as The Case of the Golden Idol (play that instead). This is literally just one case and I didn't particularly feel like a detective solving it. Definitely don't pay full price for this. To say something positive, I think the characters are fun and the case isn't uninteresting (but neither are particularly complex).

this just works. i thought id get put off by the movement of the paper cutouts, but while playing through it, it was actually pretty smooth and felt good. the story is silly and entertaining. with its shorter runtime it leaves me wanting more. love that its fully voice acted, really adds to the charm and makes it more engaging esp with the auto-advanced dialogue settings turned on. also love how big the text are.

Too short for the price, so I'd recommend getting it on sale. But the corny story and little memory puzzles are great for a quick gaming session.
