A good, fun Far Cry game, but it does feel like a Far Cry 5 DLC more than an actual standalone game, mostly because the map is the exact same one. Besides from that, everything else about the game is good, well put together. 6.5/10

É legalzinho, mas é bem pior que o 5 bom pra passar o tempo mas só vale a pena ser pego em promoção, mas eu curti a história do new dawn. Só achei que a ubisoft deveria ter lançado ele como uma DLC do 5 não um jogo separado.

The Joseph Seed storyline actually continues in a pretty interesting way here, and it's really interesting to follow his story. But the Twins, man... who even are they, who invited them here in the first place, and why am I supposed to spare them at the end. Despite their pleas not to kill them, I blew both of their heads off without a second thought. If that was the intended reaction and the game was trying to make me feel that way, then okay.

It's not that New Dawn is a *bad* game. I would say it's meh. It unfortunately comes from this really weird time in gaming around 2016-2021, where games.. just kind of felt like they lost all spirit? There are obviously really good games that came out around this time, hell, Far Cry 5 is one of them, but this.. It just- it feels like Far Cry 5 was such a passion project, there was so much love and admiration poured into the world by everyone who developed it, but this game just feels kind of. Lifeless? I don't know, it really just isn't the same, which I get is kind of the point, because it's a sequel but they just changed so many things that never needed to be changed and- it just doesn't work. I would only ever suggest this game if you're a big Far Cry 5 fan, like myself. The story especially is the biggest gut punch. We went from such an interesting and deep story in FC5, one that was actually relevant to the world at the time it came out, to.. this? I *get* that it's post-apoc, and we have no idea what kind of people would come out of that, but the Highwaymen are just so.. plain! There's- why do we CARE, about these people as enemies? I get they're horrid people, but they're just so half ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ baked. And god, the music. The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ music. It's so godawful.

Overall, it's ♥♥♥♥. I did like a few things in this game, but still, I'm pretty sure this is the worst Far Cry. They changed and fixed some stuff that I found a little inconvenient in the last game. There are some nice little changes, like no more annoying setting-on-fire animations interrupting everything... Dogs can ride in vehicles with me now... And I really liked how they handled Outpost Master in this game. The takedown animation was actually really awesome. It still had some weird, goofy bat/shovel-throwing takedowns from 5 instead of my favorite knife-throwing takedown, though. But... because of this RPG-like game mechanic, takedowns aren't a common way to kill enemies. Most of the time, you're forced to use "High Tier" guns with armor-piercing rounds to kill those stupid heavily armored enemies. You can only use takedown on them after unlocking some perks, but you have to progress through the game far enough to unlock them. These things already made me feel like I'm not playing a Far Cry game. And what do you mean there's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HP bar showing up above enemies' heads, and numbers popping up on my screen whenever I damage them? Eww... I mean, I can turn it off in the settings, but I'm kind of forced to keep it on because they just won't die from 1-2 shots to the skull in this game. I said "High Tier" weapons. Yeah, there is a tier system for weapons in this game. Same gun, but a higher-tier version that deals more damage to those stupid armored enemies. It's not like an upgrade—you have to craft it all over again using your precious supplies that you grinded for by running around the map and doing some side quests. This also made me skip some guns because I had no choice. And many guns in this game are really weak and useless regardless of their tier. And 90% of them look ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ugly. I know it's some apocalyptic theme or something like that, but still. Especially those stupid paint jobs—they also ruin the look. Yeah, and you can't even customize guns in this game. Why? Not even camos. So you can't remove the ugly paint jobs from the gun you love. And bugs... This game has tons of bugs that do a great job of killing the immersion. So many glitched animations, sounds, and textures. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI that can softlock you in some missions. My Specialist and my character are constantly panting and wincing in pain for no reason, while our health bars aren't even damaged, no one's shooting at us, and we're not even on fire. Having phone sex using the radio or something, and the worst part is that this bug happens a lot, especially with Pastor Jerome. I was speechless when I saw my character glitch into the ground in a T-pose after I tried petting some dogs. And T-posing armored soldiers falling from the sky with parachutes. It was beautiful. Story? It's ♥♥♥♥. The main villain, these cringe, annoying twins, ruined mostly everything. About performance. The framerate is just... unstable, regardless of my graphics settings. Sometimes it's really high, sometimes it's really low. It still has those constant auto-save stuttering issues from FC5.

Trash and cringy antagonists, trash music (mostly), trash enemy healthbar system. Pretty forgettable, play FC5, it is much better!

Multiplayer isn't working because of a ping limit, which the developers say is working as intended and they have no plans to fix it—even though they know it's preventing people from playing the game with their friends. It's the most bizarre thing I've ever seen in my time as a gamer. I'd hope the person who came up with this would have lost their job a long time ago, but we all know ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Quem ama Far cry vai gostar. É um jogo bem mediano. Um reaproveitamento do far cry 5 com um tico a mais de conteúdo suficiente pra ser um jogo novo e não uma DLC. Ambientação e soundtrack muito bem feitas. Achei levemente mais mal otimizado que o 6. As gêmeas são facilmente as PIORES vilãs da saga. Os dinossauros do Far Cry 1 são melhores no papel de vilão do que elas. Não passam credibilidade alguma, não demonstram reagir ao estrago que você faz para elas ao longo do jogo. Como disse, um Far cry, nada mais.
