In case you're wonding about the sudden negative ratings: A moderator on the Heart of Iron Discord had an argement with and subsequentially banned a Turkish user that had an avatar of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk which then got picked up by some media as Paradox isulting Atatürk. Yes it's really that dumb. And it has nothing to do with either the developers, nor the quality of this game at all. It's all about the Publisher. People reviewbombing every game of a publisher over Discord drama should be banned from posting reviews altogether.

I played this game before it was sold to the current company. It was absolutely fantastic then. I haven't played it since 2018 so decided to hop on and fart around with it. Now we have a worthless malware launcher for a game that absolutely does not need it and has never had it. Several game mechanics no longer work correctly. For example I had 15 janitors who were just hanging out in the cleaning cupboard while the entire prison was absolutely filthy, requiring me to hire another janitor before they would all start cleaning again. This game used to be absolutely fantastic. Now that it's owned by paradox it's trash. Introversion did an absolute banger of a job with this game and it is so disappointing that it's gone so far downhill since it's acquisition by paradox. Ancak tarihi ve milli değerlerimize yapılan bu saygısızlık düzeltilmediği ve resmî bir özür gelmediği sürece benim için bu oyun bitmiştir. ----EN---- I have been playing and enjoying this game for years, but my perspective on Paradox Interactive has completely changed due to the baseless and unfair stance taken against Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Türkiye. The lack of a clear and sincere apology regarding these unjust statements shows an obvious double standard by the moderation toward the Turkish community. Normally, I would have liked to write an objective review about the game itself, as its mechanics are great. However, as long as this disrespect toward our historical and national values remains uncorrected and without an official apology, this game is over for me.

good game, but it could've been better. i enjoy designing my own prisons and then testing them in Escape Mode. i do know that Escape Mode is so much more fun on console, and it's a shame that the PC version doesn't have the same features. some achievements were bugged for me or extremely hard to get, and two achievements are almost impossible to unlock. for those who want to 100% the game, be prepared for some frustrating achievements. being honest here, i gave up and ended up using a workshop prison to unlock them. i do recommend the game. there's a lot you can do, it's pretty chill and fun, and you can easily add mods to make it even more fun. i'm excited for Prison Architect 2 !

The game as of now is still a great game with almost nothing alike, however the ONLY reason that the recent reviews are negative is due to a dispute on DC were Paradox banned someone due to their pfp. I do not know enough except the fact that the game is still enjoyable today and you shouldn't avoid it due to some argument on discord
