This is one of my all time favorite games! The farming is great, the combat is fun, and the story is super gripping! Plus, I love the characters and their events!! I think everyone even slightly interested in farming games should give this one a go!

After enjoying RF: Guardians of Azuma a lot, I wanted to try out other Rune Factory titles. RF4 is amazingly detailed game and I really love how characters interact with each other. However, I am finding combat very tedious. I'm playing on easiest difficulty but even then I am finding the combat rather difficult - the combat mechanic itself is simplistic but every so often there is a huge difficulty jump due to a huge enemy stat inflation which force players to grind to upgrade weapons and armors. I was thinking about ignoring main story so I don't have to farm materials to upgrade my gear to win against enemy bosses - however, there are characters locked behind story progression. Therefore, I am begrudgingly working towards upgrading my gear but it is so painful, I am contemplating whether I should just drop the game altogether. Overall, I found it enjoyable enough to play 40 hours but much less so than RF: Guardians of Azuma. I would have given it a neutral rating if the option is available and would recommend to get the game on a sale. EDIT: I've sunk in more hours and managed to finish story arc 2. The highs of this game were much more impactful than Guardians of Azuma but the low points were also worse than Azuma. I'd say I enjoyed both Azuma and RF4 about equally for different reasons.

3DS版、Switch版どちらもクリアし3度目のプレイとして購入しました。 設定ウィンドウから起動しなければならない時点で不安を感じていたのですが、セリフのSEと画面表示が一致せず常に音ズレが発生していました。 V-Syncのオンオフ、NVIDIA Appでのフレームレート上限、Windowsのフレームレートを60にするなどしましたが直らず、気になって全く集中できないので返品することにしました。 ここまで酷い移植には初めて当たりました。発売から相当経っているので修正にも期待できないと思います。 好きなゲームなので残念です…。

It's a slow-paced story, divided on 3 arcs. But it's a great story and the characters are memorable. Obviously, the gameplay is a bit old and that's a big problem to me, but overal I'd say it's worth to make the effort to adapt to the commands again.

Rune Factory 4 is such a fun and cozy game to play. The town and gameplay is charming and laid back, and the easiest game setting allows you to lay back and enjoy the story. The three story arcs are captivating as well as the characters in Selphia. The marriage candidates and their stories are also intriguing when you woo them. 10/10.

This game literally made me become a sugarmomma to my Leon :D RF4S is one of the best farming/JRPG games I've ever played. I've had my fair share of irks here and there, but that's part of the charm. The overall game mechanics really fit my style and preferences. I love how you can optimize so many different things while building a life in this new world you've been thrown into. It's the typical hero sh!t where the whole village somehow relies on you, even though they're perfectly capable of handling things themselves. Hahahaha. It's quite old-school, so don't expect good graphics or an advanced UI system. It took me a while to calibrate the game controls, but it's pretty good once you get the hang of it. c:

You can schedule holidays and run a shop in addition to the various activities of the third game in the series. Excellent
