I liked it but didn't love it. I think it would have benefitted by having fewer character stories and polishing those few instead of making a bunch of underdeveloped ones. It's fun to play around in the world, and the immersive sim elements help make the game a lot more fun at points, but I definitely wouldn't pay full current listing price ($40 USD) for it.

It's such a masterpiece that it must be played at least twice! Fans of Prey and Dishonored will probably enjoy this game, as it shares some similar mechanics. (And it was made by the man himself, Raphael Colantonio!) And story wise? It's perfect. I really love the idea of playing as multiple characters whose stories all connect in the end. Their interesting backstories give you plenty of options for roleplaying, and the choices you make during one character's journey can have consequences in the next. There are some janky mechanics that can make it difficult to do what you want or even get through certain areas, but it's fine. The combination of music and crucial story moments is absolutely fantastic! Weird Wolves made some absolute bangers for this game.

Clearly not the most ambitious production BUT for the price and for maybe low expectations it easily overcomes it. cons: *AI could be a bit better *bigger variety of weapons would be nice *generally more interactive items would be nice *too much of junk just to be sold *poor economy mixed with poor itemization variety meant to me not willing to explore all the side kicks pros: *absolute bonkers climate; fresh to me, super original, very convincing and immersive *art style is risky but suits entire climate perfectly *combat is well designed, delivers fun and let players to be inventive and approach it however best they like *fantastic storyline *nicely fitting humor *brutality well blended with all this darkness *sound track is so risky and yet so excellently empowering entire feeling of the title

Underrated game. A little janky. Sometimes the camera will block your point of view. If you tab out or switch inputs, the character may get stuck and only be able to walk and you'll have to reload from a save.
