Serious Sam 3: BFE feels like a proper return to form after Serious Sam II. The developers clearly understood what made the first two games so much fun and brought the series back to its roots: huge enemy hordes, ridiculous weapons, and chaotic fights where you're constantly running, dodging, and blowing ♥♥♥♥ up. The more grounded art style also fits the series much better than SS2's cartoonish look, and the environments have a great sense of scale. I'd still say SS3 suffers a bit from military-shooter fatigue and went a bit too far in the direction of piss filters, which were all the rage in the early 2010s, but I still think it's a much better art direction for the franchise. I also really liked the level design, as the game generally gives you plenty of room to move around and deal with the hordes instead of constantly funnelling you through small arenas. The enemies are varied enough to keep the encounters interesting, and there are plenty of memorable moments and massive battles throughout the campaign. It's not trying to reinvent the formula, and that's exactly what I wanted from it. The game also has one of the funnier DRM implementations I've seen: if it detects a pirated or tampered copy, an invincible giant scorpion spawns and relentlessly hunts you down. While I'm not a fan of DRM, I gotta give it to Croteam for at least trying to be funny about it. The campaign is around 7–9 hours long, which feels about right for this kind of shooter. It doesn't overstay its welcome, and by the end I was left wanting more rather than feeling like I'd had enough. SS3 isn't perfect, but after SS2, it was exactly the kind of return to form I was hoping for. If you enjoyed the classic games, I'd definitely recommend it. Plus, it gets discounted fairly regularly, and for 3 EUR it's a steal.

One of the best ways to experience Serious Sam with friends Serious Sam 3: BFE feels like a proper return to form after Serious Sam 2. Croteam went back to what made the original games so much fun: huge enemy hordes, ridiculous weapons, explosive combat and constant chaos. The gunplay is simple but incredibly satisfying. Running around while dodging projectiles, switching weapons and mowing down massive groups of enemies never really gets old. There are plenty of memorable encounters and the more grounded visual style fits the series much better than SS2's cartoonish direction. The campaign is around 7–9 hours, which feels like a good length for this kind of shooter. It doesn't overstay its welcome, and there's enough enemy variety and massive battles to keep things entertaining throughout. Co-op is also a blast, especially with a few friends. Fighting through enormous hordes together is exactly the kind of experience Serious Sam is made for. It isn't perfect, and the level design can occasionally be frustrating, but if you enjoyed the classic games, SS3 is an easy recommendation. It's chaotic, ridiculous and doesn't take itself too seriously. Exactly what I wanted from a Serious Sam game. I hate to give it a thumbs down, but it just isn't as good as the older Serious Sam games. The level design in particular is really bad. I've played though the entire game previously and never wanted to come back to it. If there was a neutral rating, I'd give it that.

Well it’s not bad in fact I would say it’s one of the best games made kids. Straight forward objectives shoot and kill secrets to find consol with kids and a badass protagonist but for a Serious Sam game it’s a massive step down. In BFE they added executions that are pointless they don’t give you health iframes etc. They are just there. Weapons are much less fun to use most of them that is (RPG Minigun and Double Barrel Shotgun is still amazing). For some unholy reason they thought it would be such a great idea to add reload to boomer shooter with sprint that cancel reload. About sprint there is no auto sprint so no more shooting things fast and deadly only fast. Level design is boring early games got away with it cause they were much shorter but here it just doesn’t work. If you liked previous games this one only on sale 5.5/10 will probably never play again (maybe dlc).

Ощущается как поездка по трассе м4 дон, без солнечных очков и без половины коробки передач, потому что игра пересвечена вся и потому что пощупать все пушки вам не дадут, некоторая часть оружия есть только в качестве секреток на нескольких уровнях.

Мне трудно объективно оценивать третьего Сэма, поскольку он является одной из моих первых игр в Steam и проходил я его в далёком 2013, но сохранился он отлично. Да, присутствуют шероховатости и закос под колду, но это не отменяет драйва и экшена, которые третья час нам дарит. Вайбовая и балдёжная игрушка и один из лучших примеров абсолютно бездумного шутера на пару вечеров. Настоятельно рекомендую!
