Experienced on the Meta Quest 3 You can view my VR gameplay & commentary here: https://youtu.be/Lp3JhDTsSlA Yes, you can now play STAR WARS™ Episode I Racer in glorious VR, completely FREE (search for the mod). The mod has stereo rendering with true per-eye projection, head tracking, a world-locked panel for HUD and menus, and full Quest controller support (as a gamepad). I was able to get a steady 72 fps and you can probably get 90 fps on my RTX 5090. The only issue I experienced was having some difficulty selecting stuff from the menu. Fiddly, but not impossible to use. Plus you can always go back to KBM for selecting from the menu if using VR controller is too fiddly. This is the best way to play STAR WARS™ Episode I Racer now. In fact, the game didn't work in pancake (2d mode) on my PC. It would stay on loading. The VR mod actually fixes that. You have cockpit view, along with hood view, and 3rd person behind the racer view. I bought this game (in a bundle)! The GOAT. I can't even imagine how many hours I have in this game on the N64. I still come back to this game and play it every year, its just a ton of fun. I'm REALLY hoping Galactic Racer will be good. Do I think it will live up to this game? Absolutely not. But I hope it comes close.

i love this game and i loved it since 2001 when i got a gorillaz first album and that same day my uncle gave me a CD with this game pirated and ready to install with possible viruses, and i remember being 11 years old and playing this game while gorillaz first album played in the background. controller is not supported, but it works, so it makes me happy. i feel like an 11 year old kid now. if you played this game as a kid - just buy it, play it and remind yourself on moments from your childhood, otherwise - i would not recommend xD great game if you have nostalgia for it, or it's a tough and unreasonably demanding game if you have patience for it and want to 100% it

Wow I love this game, despite its MANY flaws. This is the most thrilling, engaging and fun racing game I've played since Burnout 3: Takedown. This game provides a sense of speed, a cool factor and a level of thrilling fun that is, in my opinion, unmatched my almost all modern racing games. The game is riddled with flaws and, despite that, I couldn't stop playing. In my one full playthrough, the game crashed over 10 times, often right as I finished a race in 1st place, meaning I'd have to redo the race. The graphics have aged poorly. There's basically no tutorial or instructions and I was learning basic game mechanics in the final 3rd of the game through experimentation. Some of the courses are poorly designed in a way which makes it very hard to avoid wrecking your podracer on your first time on the course (i.e. coming up on a visually indistinct obstacle from a blind corner while you're going 600 MPH). The game is too easy - your opponents present almost no challenge until the final few races. I'll say it again, DESPITE all of these flaws, this is one of the most fun racing games I've ever played.

This game is definitely still buggy. But I love it so much. The sounds, the speed, the nostalgia. 10/10

Es funktioniert alles Tadellos. Dafür das es ein Älteres Spiel ist, ist das verdammt schnell. da können sich manche Spiele heutzutage noch eine scheibe abschneiden. ich Empfehle es unbedingt wenn einer auf schnelle Rennspielie steht

can't even handle opening the program. freezes, cycles through my monitors like 16 times before coming to the title screen, hope the mouse comes along for the ride too, because if not and you click, you gotta go through 16 cycles again. Unacceptable
