Tribute To D-Day Pack adds 6 new divisions, 3 for the Allies and 3 for the Axis, into SD2. These divisions existed in the previous game, Steel Division Normandy 44 as well and have been carried over to here. +3 divisions for the Allies. The American 2nd Infantry "Indianhead" with great Rangers and Engineers infantry that can cause havoc on the offense. Lots of Shermans, the T30 HMC which is a half track carrying a 75mm howitzer but if you prefer to have your infantry support weapons not mechanized then you can have a 105mm howitzer and just tell the crew to push the damn thing rather then giving it a track and some wheels! Or use 105mm Shermans if you do want them to be more mobile but you want a lil bit more armor and if the 75mm just doesn't sound big enough for you! Or ♥♥♥♥ it, why not have a Churchill Crocodile? Armored, faster then pushing a damn artillery piece and with a flamethrower added for good measure! For those more close and personal battles... M10 and M18 tank destroyers, 155mm artillery pieces, Xylophone rocket launchers and lots of P-47s and P-38s. Then there is the Polish 1st Pancerna with its Cromwells, Stuarts, Shermans and Fireflies, Achilles tank destroyers which are just M10s but armed with British guns, Crusader AAs, Sextons and Shermans that can call in off-map artillery. If you want tanks, there you go, have all of em. And finally, my favourite, the 6th Airborne Red Devils. Similar to how I adore the Fallschirmjager, I adore the Red Devils as well. Elite paratrooper infantry just hits different. Tetrarchs, elite paratrooper infantry as well as glider troops with a mix of Canadian paratroopers and Belgian reinforcements on top! Cromwells, Challengers, 75mm pack howitzers, jeeps with ammo on them, airborne 2 inch mortars and flamethrowers, 6 pounders, 17 pounders and a captured German 75mm Pak for good measure. Oh did I mention the Mosquitos with napalm bombs or the jeep that can call in an off-map artillery strike from a 381mm naval ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ artillery? And here I was, thinking the Prinz Eugen was cool when the paratroopers, yes PARATROOPERS, roll up onto the battlefield with BATTLESHIP CANNONS TO BACK EM UP. +And 3 more for the Axis. 17th SS-Panzergrenadiers with SS-Legionary infantry which are Italian SS volunteers, lots of Stug 4s, Marders, Paks from 50mm to 88mm and the usual complement of Stukas and 109s. The 12th SS-Panzer, with its captured Firefly as a recon tank, Hitler Youth infantry and the famous Tiger ace Wittman. And finally, the 3rd Fallschirmjager with its usual elite and well equipped infantry, some Italian armored cars and tanks, Stug 3s, paratrooper specific lighter guns like a Puppchen, Leichtgeschütz 40 and 42 as well as some artillery pieces originally made for mountaineer divisions. -No Army General campaings set in the West. -No maps set in the Western Front. In some other DLCs like the Battle of Rimini and Storming Toulon, both set on the Western Front, I didn't consider the lack of Army General campaings and Western Front maps to be a negative. Its because they're smaller "Nemesis" DLCs, DLCs which choose 2 divisions from opposing sides and implement only them into the game. Its in the name, Nemesis. This one is a full DLC though, it absolutely should have added maps set in France, in bocage country and an Army General campaing. These divisions existed in the previous game too so they've simply been moved over to the second game and the previous game took place in France. Why not port over the maps from the previous game along with the divisions? It would be much better and the devs would still be doing minimal work because the divisions and the maps already exist, they just need to be moved over to SD2. Then it would be a complete DLC but right now its just half-baked. I'd still complain even if they did port the maps over as well though, because that is still the bare minimum. The acceptable thing to do is port the divisions over from the first game, like how they already did. Port the maps over, which they did not do and develop a proper Army General campaing so the DLC isn't just "its previous stuff ported over to the new game". I'm still giving it a thumbs up cuz this DLC includes divisions that I really like namely the Red Devils and the Fallschirmjager but ♥♥♥♥ me, this could have been so much better.
