A very, very, very cautious recommendation. Do not buy this at full price if you can avoid it. It is functional, mostly. A much better experience modded, for sure. Experiencing the world of Skyrim in VR, even in vanilla form, does still feel magical despite the many issues plaguing it. Certainly a better vanilla experience than Fallout 4 (the bar is in hell).

If you're going to commit to playing this in VR, you MUST mod the game to experience it at it's full potential. The vanilla version of Skyrim is rough but a good foundation for all the amazing modders out there to work their magic. You will NOT enjoy this game if you play the Vanilla VR port. Hence the mixed reviews, if everyone took their time to download and install a good mod pack before reviewing, this game would be a 11/10. If you have a lower end pc or just want to experience the game as Vanilla as possible with some great gameplay, quality of life improvements and minor graphics tweaks check out the FUS mod list by Kvitekvist and Cangar. It runs great and is very light which means easy to install, and fast to boot up. If you have a high end PC and want to push it to it's limits, then the Mad God Overhaul by Moyse06 mod list is a must, it replaces almost every asset in the game with higher quality textures and meshes which makes it look unbelievably beautiful, like a modern AAA game. The Skyrim VR Overhaul by valentueur is right in between the MGO and FUS mod list, this list boots up and runs surprisingly well. You can always configure these mod packs to your liking by following the read me and using your mod manager program. You will be using either Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex to manage these mods. Wabbajack is also needed to d/l and install most of these mod lists.

Joguei Skyrim pela primeira vez em 2012, no PS3. A versão era em espanhol e, por não entender muita coisa da história, fui aprendendo e explorando do meu jeito. Mesmo assim, foi uma das experiências mais marcantes da minha adolescência. Quase 15 anos depois resolvi voltar, agora em VR, usando um Meta Quest 3S e o pacote de mods FUS. E, sinceramente... foi como descobrir Skyrim pela segunda vez. A imersão é absurda. Caminhar por Skyrim, entrar em cavernas, enfrentar dragões e simplesmente explorar aquele mundo em realidade virtual é uma experiência difícil de descrever. Com os mods certos, o jogo envelheceu incrivelmente bem e, em imersão, não fica devendo para títulos como Half-Life: Alyx e No Man's Sky VR. Minha única recomendação: não jogue Skyrim VR sem mods. A versão original é muito limitada. Instale um pacote como o FUS e você vai entender por que esse jogo continua sendo uma obra-prima tantos anos depois.

Figures I pay 59.99 and then 2 days later it goes on sale for 15 bucks..... thats my life for a game thats almost unplayable without mods.

If u need an unpaid job in ur life then get this game and make it playable. I have had it for a year, and been told with the right mods it's the best VR game there is. Modding is a bigger pain than being burned at the stake. -122/10 would eventually try modding again (every 6 months or so).

This game with the FUS overhaul is amazing. With mods it's god tier without it's still playable.

Only buy this game if you plan to mod it... and not just MOD it... I mean mod it so much.. that it's MORE MOD THAN SKYRIM.

打了mod整合包之后最牛逼的vr游戏没有之一， 首先，必须下载整合包，哔站有很多，我玩的是优质中年人的整合包，内容非常完整，大部分是基于原版体验优化，vr交互也非常多； 然后，要有一台高配置的电脑，显存一定要大，否则很容易爆显存； 我说一下目前玩过几种职业的感想： #双手剑：搭配重甲非常爽，化生狂战士，能把敌人切碎，没成型前弹刀招架也很爽，但打龙比较吃力，没法挡住吐息伤害，需要召唤术或随从辅助； #潜行弓：轮椅流派之一，比较考验准度，射箭手感很好，前期成型快，几乎都是一击秒杀，就算没死也发现不了你，还能派生偷窃技能，加快成型速度； #剑盾流：单手武器配盾的打法，我玩过最爽的流派，盾反超级爽，窗口适中，能当魂游玩，而且数值平均，玩下来不会很难或过于简单，对远程攻击有一定抗性，在任何场景下都有一战之力； #召唤术士：轮椅，直接变成电子斗蛐蛐，推荐不要主修，当作辅助融入其他流派比较好； #死灵法师：体验一般，强度偏低，玩法上比较有趣，可以把死掉的生物复活，或者召唤骷髅士兵。 到处探险会带来很多意想不到的的收获，游戏本身的体量就非常庞大，几百个小时根本玩不完，整合包里还有一些大型mod，拥有独立的地图，剧情和玩法，dlc的内容也非常吸引人。 总之非常推荐去游玩，虽然装mod有一定的门槛，但绝对会让你体验到独一份的游玩体验。
