Skyrim for Potato Hardware Skyrim begins with you being arrested for reasons that are largely irrelevant because, within about three minutes, a dragon attacks and everyone suddenly has more pressing concerns than immigration paperwork. You escape execution, discover that you are the Dragonborn, (so someone like really special, I know your mother says you are special but that is not the same thing) anyway you are informed that it is now your responsibility to save the world by shouting at enormous flying reptiles. Along the way, you will join guilds, explore ancient ruins, collect twenty tonnes of cheese, become the leader of several dubious organizations despite attending approximately two meetings, and repeatedly forget about the main quest because somebody asked you to retrieve a family sword from a cave. Basically: * Dragons have returned. * The civil war is making everything worse. * An ancient prophecy says you are important. I am playing this in first person view. Obviously! Skyrim is about exploring tombs, shooting bandits with arrows and predicting which coffin is going to burst open while checking a Draugr has not been sneaking up on you. Why would anyone play it in third person and spend the entire time staring at the back of their own character’s head? Who does that anyway? Weird gamers that is who. They can be different from angry gamers but both issues can afflict them. Controller support works perfectly well. Movement, combat, menus, lockpicking and inventory management all behave exactly as expected. I plugged in my matching Acer Nitro controller, launched the game and began shouting goats off mountains without needing to faff about with configuration files. Obviously this is the original release and it is no longer available to buy through the normal Steam store, which is unfortunate because it remains the version to try when running Skyrim on an elderly potato. After a few settings adjustments by that I mean trial and error my ancient Acer rocking an AMD FX-9830P cpu and RX550 gpu holds around 60fps. To be honest though the FX-9830P has not aged like fine wine. It has aged more like a carton of cow juice discovered in the dessert after 8 years. However this is a classic Bethesda game and although excellent with a huge world, memorable music, absurd freedom, countless quests and caves with lit candles. It will hit you with jank and bugs from time to time. It is frequently ridiculous, but it is extremely easy to lose several hundred hours and wonder what you are doing with your life. So why am I writing a review of an unavailable 2011 version of Skyrim in 2026?. In the hope that the other person who owns an FX-9830P Acer laptop, has somehow kept it alive, and is desperately searching for evidence that it can still run something. To that person: yes, Skyrim works. with some faffing. :)

Once you've played Skyrim, you'll remember it forever—whether you want to or not. Whether it's the iconic “arrow in the knee” line, the death scene where a giant sends you flying into the clouds, the epic theme song and atmosphere, or the thrill of riding a dragon for the first time. And yet, Skyrim isn’t a technically flawless, graphically opulent, story-driven masterpiece. It has bugs, glitches, crashes, outdated graphics, stiff animations, and a forgettable story. But it lets you experience the ultimate freedom—in character creation, character development, exploration, and how you choose to play. The world of Skyrim is like a massive fantasy adventure playground. There’s something to do around every corner. There are all kinds of enemies, factions, locations, quests, and loot. I have chests full of loot, and I’ve played hundreds of hours so far and still haven’t seen everything—and I haven’t installed a single mod. Skyrim is definitely worth recommending.

Quinta entrega de The Elder Scrolls, que nos trae una nueva historia, nueva jugabilidad y unos gráficos de infarto. Skyrim es, en simples palabras, uno de los mejores juegos de la historia. Espadas, magia, arcos y flechas, dragones, orcos, nórdicos, mundo extremadamente abierto, todo eso y muchísimo pero muchísimo mas es Skyrim, un sandbox de rol en el mejor sentido de palabra. Paso a analizar un videojuego que no hay que dejar pasar para un verdadero gamer. Una total obra maestra. Jugabilidad (9): Puede que sea muy parecida a la de su antecesor, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, pero aún a estas alturas la jugabilidad es grandiosa, excelente. Si, puede que tenga fallos tecnológicos y tal pero cuando ves el paisaje, cuando matas bichos y hasta cuando hablas con personajes te olvidás de todo en un puto segundo :) Gráficos (10): Para caerse de la silla, parece que estamos viendo una imágen real en movimiento. Es increíble, los gráficos son impresionantes. Detalles muy bien acabados y una iluminación perfecta. Hay algunos bugs en las texturas pero son muy dificiles de encontrar. Aparte ni siquiera molestan ya que quien se va a poner a buscar bugs cuando hay mas de 100 cosas por hacer ;) Sonido (10): Como antes pero diferente :D, ahora parece que estamos escuchando un audio de la época medieval excelentemente bien grabado. El sonido es impactante, puede que inferior a uno de los factores mas altos, que son los gráficos, pero aún asi espectaculares. Innovación (9): A pesar de que la saga The Elder Scrolls muestre siempre mas de lo mismo, Skyrim añade cantidades de cosas y he de decir que es muy diferente a sus antecesores, que también son diferentes entre sí. Así que la innovación es bastante alta. Muy buenas incorporaciones. Diversión (Este factor lo agrego yo, porque para mi es importante :) (8.5): En ocasiones, nos podremos aburrir pero es simplemente por una buena razón, que hay tantas cosas por hacer que no sabemos por donde ir. El mundo es tan grande que nos deja con la boca abierta y por esta razón a veces se hace aburrido. De todas formas, Skyrim es muy divertido, con animaciones magníficas y movimientos de combate muy realistas, aunque estos a veces tengan algunos fallos pero nada destacable. Puntos a favor: - Ambientación (es inigualable) - Gráficos espectaculares - Rama de habilidades bastante amplia - Mucha variedad de enemigos - Lo épico y adictivo que resulta - La nueva interfaz - Su atrapante y muy bien elaborada historia - Sus DLC - Cantidades de cosas por hacer Puntos en contra: - Sus dichosos bugs (la mayoría se han corregido así que ya no importan mucho los bugs) - Algún que otro fallo tecnológico, que realmente no arruina la experiencia jugable Nota final: 10 "Inolvidable" En conclusión: Uno de los mejores juegos de Rol jamás hechos, eso no lo niega nadie. Aún con algunos fallitos tecnológicos, el juego resulta impresionante y no le hace falta nada para ser una obra maestra.

Если вы хотите поиграть в действительно хорошую рпг, но при этом не знаете с чего начать, эта игра думаю вам точно подойдет, это буквально песочница в которой ты можешь делать че захочешь, от установки сборок и модов, до всяких говнобилдов на легендарном уровне сложности. купил 2 скайрима спешл и легендари едишн и вообще не жалею, не то чтобы я прям фанат который купит любую хрень, но просто эта игра приносит тех эмоций которая ни одна другая игра не даст, и ты рано или поздно снова в неё возвращаешься. Рекомендую к покупке.

Honestly a great solution if you wanna play skyrim on a low spec pc. Missing some quality of life features from SE in vanilla but thats nothing a quick visit to the nexus can't fix. Do suggest buying a key from a third party website as it never goes on sale and buying the game with all dlc costs $80.

L'éternel pilier du jeu de rôle en monde ouvert. Qu'on le parcours en vanilla ou moddé jusqu'aux dents, le plaisir de l'exploration reste intact après des années.
