1 / 7

Absolutely awful dlc, most of its just traversing the massive map. Buggy waypoints, and tedious questlines. At least it gave us the rough rider.

Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt is definitely the worst of the bunch, it has far less content than the others with just 4 main quests and 13 side quests (compared to 9 main 23 side for Scarlett, 15 main 25 side for Torgue), its enemy types are less varied with a single group of human enemy types (the very poorly aged “Savages”) and some varying hostile wildlife, the environment drops down in variety again, and the new vehicle it introduces, a speedboat, mostly sucks (2 of its 3 weapon variants are borderline useless). The story basically only has 3 characters, Hammerlock, Claptrap and Professor Nakayama, Hammerlock is okay but not that interesting, Claptrap, well I shouldn’t really have to explain how annoying he is if you’ve played the base game, and Nakayama can be a funny villain at times, lampshading how incompetent he is as a sinister mastermind, but basically just is that one joke repeated over and over again, sometimes it’s funny and sometimes it falls flat. The other DLCs feel like the strongest points of BL2, so it’s really surprising that this one really feels like they dropped the ball, it definitely doesn’t deserve to be equal in price with the other packs.
