I love this game. I started this game about half a year ago and played for 30minutes and then quit (partly due to the game looking really bad on my old gpu). But I gave it a try again and started a new save and got so addicted that I finished it in two days and even did a speedrun to get the last missing achievement. It is fun to explore and there are many cool quests. My favourite being the detective and midnight drummers quest. It is a semi openworld game, so you have to unlock new areas through specific ways that seem believable like getting a raft to get across the river or paying a bridge fee. I also like the way the game gives you a tutorial in the first part of the map without you noticing at all. The Map itself is rather small which I really like (I would guess maybe 1km² but there is a lot of area you can't reach like most of the mountains). The game looks really nice on high settings and the painting mechanic feels very satisfying. The only big downside is that you have to travel between places a lot and the walking is a bit slow, but you will unlock items that speed up the process later. There is a teleportation tea but I only found out about it in my speedrun lol

"Eastshade" ist ein wunderbares Beispiel dafür, dass Open-World-Games nicht zwingend verbunden sein müssen mit Waffen-Upgrades, Kampfsystemen und Boss-Fights. Es kann auch einfach mal eine bzw. mehrere sehr gute Geschichten erzählen und eine entspannte Welt mit vielseitigen Aufgaben und Charakteren bieten. Als ich das Spiel gekauft habe, hatte ich ehrlich gesagt etwas ganz anderes erwartet - einen relaxten Walking-Sim, bei dem man an besonders schönen Orten seine Leinwand aufstellt und Bilder für die Ewigkeit schafft. Dass tatsächlich so viel "menschliche" Tragödien und Aufgaben auf mich warten würden, damit hatte ich nicht gerechnet. Aber genau DAS hat das Spiel überhaupt erst so einzigartig gemacht. Leider ist es nicht wirklich Bug-frei, aber die Erkundung der großartig und vielseitig gestalteten Landschaft lässt einen leicht großzügig darüber hinwegsehen. Zudem sind die Erweiterungen, die man nach und nach kaufen kann, sehr logisch und gut ins Spiel eingebettet: Kanus, Fahrräder, die die Welt schneller und umfangreicher erkundet lassen, verschiedene Tees mit unterschiedlichen Fähigkeiten und einiges mehr erweitern das Spiel zu einem immer umfassenderem Erlebnis, in dem man sich wirklich verlieren kann. Absolute Kaufempfehlung für alle, die den Fokus gerne auf Story und Erkundung legen. Und wann hat man schon mal die Gelegenheit täglich eine Sonneneklypse zu erleben.

Ez az indie játék csupán 2-3 tucat ember munkájának a gyümölcse, mégis van benne kb 15 órányi tartalom, gyönyörűen megtervezett környezet, és csodaszép zeneanyag, amit külön is be lehet szerezni. A főhős egy hajótörött festő, aki realista stílusú ábrázolásával hódítja meg Keletárny népének szívét és péztárcáját, ahogy haladunk előre a történetben, saját munkánkkal találkozhatunk klubokban, fogadókban, szerte vidéken és Navában, az egyetemi városban is. A sok kedves történet 100% családbarát, és a bugok száma minimális. Nehéz meghatározni a játék műfaját, mert nem sétaszimultorról van szó, hiszen később kenut is fabrikálhatunk és vehetünk biciklit is, de a hegyek között kötélpályán is siklani lehet. Ez leginkább egy belső nézetű kalandjáték ahol nem lehet meghalni. Egy nagyon hangulatos és szép darab, mondhatnám, festői!

Easy going game to relax and learn / relearn modern game controller for me at least. Very good graphics for an Indie type game. Some puzzles needed consultation of walkthroughs or hints available via Steam.

Theres a bug at the start of the game that stops you from saving and softlocks you, forcing you to reset your save file and start from the begining. I ran into it twice and im considering giving up on this game. I really really want to enjoy and recomend this game but it is literally unplayable for me. :(

The graphics, the music, the characters and voice actors--everything about this game is perfect, and I'm so glad I experienced this journey :') I also loved the "cozy survival" with being able to set up a tent and campfire and even make your own teas!

Ive just finished my first playthrough, completed my quests and i cant express this game.. open world yet guided by quests. incredible cozy vibes.. gorgeous visuals and the right amount of mystics. What really got me was how they chose to finish up the game. Amazing. Need more like it. I really enjoyed the quest in Sinkwood Inn, felt like a true detective and was happy little clues actually mattered and you could truly decipher. Played 80 hours of this game and would play 80 more. oooh and the midnight drummers! how fascinating and unexpected
