Forza lost its soul. I had waited a long time because of all the negative stuff around the game and the stupid unlock system they had at the beginning, I finally decided to try the game since its 60% off atm, but this just isn't it. The physics are good and feel pretty good to drive, more realistic than previous games, but tbh, I think this actually makes the game less fun. Its like Old McDonalds vs New McDonalds. Used to be colorful and fun, and now its grey and corporate. Its lost what made it special and just became another sim lite. They added a time penalty system, that cannot be turned off in single player. If you're ever played with Forza AI you know why this is a problem without even needing to read more, but when the AI inevitably brake checks you on the apex of the corner, and you run into the back of them, you get a time penalty for contact. When the AI turns in with you on the inside and forces you off the track, you get a time penalty... Forza was never a true sim, it was a simcade game with its own soul and it was a blast. This one tries too hard to remove the things that made Forza unique. And its truly a shame, because you can really feel the potential in this game when you jump out on Nordschleife in heavy rain. It hurts my soul to leave a negative review on a Forza mainline title, but I now understand why the series died with this game. This is Forza, dulled by sim over reach, the fun dampened by stupid decisions, a loss of a great series, all because they tried to be too serious. I have many many hours of amazing memories from Forza 1, 2, 3, 4 and some from 7 (got boxed out when I went from 360-Ps4) and its a series I'll probably think about 20 years from now if I'm still alive. Maybe we'll get lucky, and they will make another one some day, and remember that we don't need another hard core sim, we need a fun forza game. This is the first time I felt depressed leaving a negative review :(

This game is the prime example of Microsoft showing us the consumer never really mattered. Bugged, broken, and abandoned to never see a QoL update again. You know what's funny though? Microsoft burns this series to focus on Horizon, which wouldn't exist without Motorsport to begin with. BRING BACK MOTORSPORT. The series that started it all. Bring back your love for the hardcore racers that's been gone for a long while. I refuse to even touch Horizon anymore with the zero effort that's been put into the FFB. Absolutely unplayable on the wheel, sure if me as the end user spends an hour or three tweaking it, it feels great. But why do I need to do that? Out of the box the entire game feels like I'm driving on ice, out of the box on Motorsport feels solid. Don't leave your day one's to cater to a children's arcade racing game, I've been here since FM2 and I would choose Motorsport 7 over this if we still had the option to buy it, but unfortunately I will cope onto this last broken, bugged iteration of Motorsport that will ever see the light of day.

Microsoft killed this game and its studio so their unwanted AI could stumble along for another year. All that's left of Turn 10 is a skeleton crew to keep the servers going, but given how the game keeps losing connection to the servers now and becoming unplayable, I'm starting to think that it's really just one person waiting for Copilot to tell them to pull the plug entirely. Don't waste your money, Microsoft sure as hell doesn't deserve it and there's nothing left here anymore. What a sad ending to a good franchise.

Given the negative reviews, I was very apprehensive about this purchase. What a huge mistake it would have been to miss this title, it's a fantastic racing game that's surprisingly realistic. I absolutely love it and would recommend it all day long. An excellent racing simulator.

优化超级差，什么垃圾画质动不动就爆显存，光追关闭下其他画面设置全部拉满的画面依旧是一坨，无论是建模、贴图还是光影表现，这真的是2023年出的游戏吗？它甚至都不是开放世界，封闭小图能整出这种稀烂画面也是神奇。不过驾驶手感倒是不错，但车辆品牌没有汉化，此外单人内容可玩量还是比较可观的，但画面表现真劝退……

I think Forza Motorsport (2023) is general a really good game. It looks stunning, the menus are clean and simple - like games used to be, and the career is simple, but a good mix of everything. The Car Points system is a very nice addition in my opinion, although I miss how it was before the patch, when categories were locked behind car level. Instead of letting you upgrade the car however we wish, you have to earn it and also learn how to drive the car in different stages, which I really enjoy. Unfortunately, the game also has some issues - primarily the 'AI'. It's incredibly bad. I remember when they introduced "Drivatars" as an innovation, but well, that hasn't aged well. In practice, they sometimes drive incredible slow - I don't know if Turn 10 tried here to simulate in/out laps or something, but they hog the racing line like nothing else and ruin your lap. It's frustrating. In Race, it's even more annoying. You can easily catch up to them by being 1-2s faster, but as soon as you are in the front - out of nowhere - they suddenly discover the throttle can be pushed harder. Rubberbanding AI has it's place in some arcade style game, but not in a game like this, which tries to be - at least - semi realistic. Overall, I do enjoy this game, despite the AI and some UI decisions which boggle my mind (why the heck can I not reset my tuning setup at any time?!).

I need to preface this review with the fact that I purchased it while heavily discounted. Do I think this game is worth $99? No. $40 for the ultimate edition, yes. I primarily play Gran Turismo 7 and Assetto Corsa. In my opinion, the main Forza Motorsport franchise peaked at 4. Since then the only Forza games that are fun to me are the Horizon games. I will say though, the physics feels good and I have no complaints with my Logitech setup. Your milage may vary. If you're thinking about it, get it on sale.
