Lost Planet 3
The extreme and unpredictable conditions that characterized the Lost Planet series return, harsher than ever before. Lost Planet 3 reveals new truths about the foreboding planet and the colonial history of E.D.N. III.
Lost Planet 3 introduces Jim Peyton, a rig pilot who leaves Earth to take on a hazardous but lucrative contract on E.D.N. III. Working for Neo-Venus Construction (NEVEC) who are preparing the planet for colonisation, Jim joins his fellow pioneers at the Coronis base and begins surveying the uncharted terrain and obtaining samples of the planet’s energy supply – Thermal Energy.
With NEVEC’s existing Thermal Energy reserve running low the fate of the Coronis mission depends on the natural source of the energy supply being located. Realising that this is a great opportunity for a huge pay-off and early ticket home to his family, Jim braves the risk of the treacherous environment and threat of the indigenous Akrid.
Acting as a home away from home and boasting an array of tools that can assist Jim on the field, the utility rig provides Jim’s safety and is essential not only for his contract work but also his protection against the ever-changing climate.
Lost Planet 3 will deliver a diverse range of gameplay including on-foot battles and intense first person action. With a number of multiplayer modes and a compelling single player experience, Lost Planet 3 will delve deeper into the Lost Planet universe, uncovering hidden truths within the unique and dynamic environment of E.D.N. III.

🧊❄️ LOST PLANET 3 IS A ICE-COLD BUGGY MESS OF A TITLE THAT AGED WELL REVIEWED ON: (GeForce GT 1030/i7-3770 ) This is a prequel to the events of Lost Planet 2 and the first game, pretty much explains how it all begins. Lost Planet 1 is available on Steam, but the second game got taken down. Read a lot of negative reviews and can relate, this game is very different from the first two. And while it's true combat is not the best although in a third-person Dead Space 3 shooter perspective, backtracking is frustrating, and your movement throughout the campaign feels so weak. I can confirm this is because during LP 1 and 2, everything about the world, it's people, and surroundings have evolved over time. Even so, CAPCOM did change a lot of a lot so we can't really base ourselves much from the story. It's one of those errors devs pull from the hat casually, and the magic is just negativity from the community. The game did not feel that bad for me, but I did struggle from time to time so let's break it into points of interest. 🦾 PLOT (SPOILER ALERT): We follow our bro Jim Peyton into this artic voyage in an unknown planet til' the end. As a utility man in his profession, Jim left his home, son, and sexy wife, to take this job that would bring in more money for his family over the brutal winter. Little did he know that bro would come across an inmense secret, hidden by lies and sacrifices, and the history of a lost colony. Jim will soon realize, that he has been on the wrong side from the beginning. A story about a not-so casual hero, a modest family man, and his efforts to do what is right, in the end creating a legacy for interplanetary years to come. 🦾 WELCOME TO A BUG-INFESTED PARADISE: This game has a lot of bugs, and it may be different for everyone. First game I ever bought on Steam where I even faced so many bugs, and was honestly concerned when I read about players getting soflocked. My bugs were annoying, but I managed to play the game to the end and also record it to my channel even with some issues here and there. You can check out my full walkthrough here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYWc6m3uqRS8 -The few and total bugs I faced were: 1. Automatically resized video and screen when recording on OBS. For some reason this never happened to me, but after launching the game and recording it I never expected to get some weird black borders on the final product. I eventually fixed this manually later and part 2-6 were enjoyable to watch with 60 FPS of performance. 2. Some sort of login issue? This must be caused by the fact LP3 actually has a server and multiplayer mode, but still felt off. During the recording my game stopped and sent me to the menu claiming there was some sort of login credentials error. Kept doing so, until I managed to click fast and bypass it. Probably the most disgusting bug I faced in the game. 3. Kebybinds don't work as they should. I faced a lot of keybind issues not responding or executing, and had to pause the game here and there to investigate and find a solution. Some keys even if you set them as the ones you wanted did not work when pressed. And other keys worked wrongly. An example would be WSAD keys which were required to rotate mechanics. I randomly pressed all keys until I found the one that worked. It was the H key! What in the world bro? A mechanic that requires 4 keys, runs on one? -The game has a lot of bugs no doubt, but if you only experienced what I did, then don't drop it just because of this. There's probably a fix you can apply on your side. 🦾 THE RIG: Throughout the campaign you will pilot a massive mecha that you will use to travel long distances in, combat, fix damaged structures, and get to places you could not before. You can't simply leave your rig in the distance and walk to your objective, since Jim is extremely slow, but it makes sense considering you're mostly walking on snow, climates are dreadful, and he's equipped head to toe with heavy armor? Anyways, the Rig is like your go-to everywhere. You will be able to upgrade it casually with scrap parts, learn some skills here and there, maximize the base health, ect. You don't need to buy it all in order to complete the game probably, I didn't. Also your ammo is full everytime yo get in and out of your Rig, so you basically are prepared to last combat, and sometimes can even troll fate itself by reloading all your equipment during battle. 🦾 A PLANET FULL OF IMPRESSIVE ALIEN LIFEFORMS: E.D.N. III is a planet full of various extraterrestial fauna, which you will constantly battle on foot or inside your rig. There's quite some variety and minor bosses tied to story sequences, models are pretty cool, and to this day a fourth game featuring these creatures in the current generation of gaming would be dope. 🦾 INFINITE AMMO, WEAPON CHOICE, AND SOME UPGRADES: In LP3 running out of ammo is something should not happen that often, but I did play it on low difficulty as all my games. Jim had an inifnite-ammo pistol, so even if your weapons have none, there's always a way out and saving bullets depends on the player. You'll find some different weapons, and be able to upgrade them, as well as your ammo, grenade pouches, ect. As the game progresses and you buy better weapons, you will adapt to your own style and probably not use them all. TO CONCLUDE: Lost Planet 3 is a PC port of quite an old game, players will struggle to find themselves comfortable with the new feel and gameplay, and or have a hard time dealing with atrocious bugs. I came for the story, and don't regret it. My frustration was not that much and I managed to enjoy the whole thing. There are some optional missions, but did not pay attention to those much and focused on the main story. Game is short you could say, even if piloting the rig makes it feel longer. Voice acting could have been better, but some characters are interesting. Not the best of endings, but a decent approach to the beginnings of the series. 9.5/10

This one takes a big departure from the two previous entries in the series, gameplay wise. Much less emphasis on the action combat. There are a lot of cinematic interludes here. A strong narrative with mystery and horror and with lots of cutscenes. The Mech here is a first person experience, working more as a work vehicle than a battle machine. Even going into this one without expectations set by the previous games I think you're left with a really mixed bag experience. If you ever hear anything about this one it is usually leans in the direction that the game is offensively bad. I don't know if it's really *that* terrible as the plot centric stuff are really redeeming but then again the otherside of that coin seems to be a bunch of repetitive, clunky and awkward combat. I think this game really didn't know what it wanted to be so it sits in a weird position of trying to be a jack-of-all-games. A cinematic and linear story experience but also an open world with side quests and upgrade paths? A first person immersive vehicle sim while also being a third person action shooter? Except sometimes the shooting combat is run and gun and other times cover based? Idk, it's just kind of weird all over, mediocre even at its best in that regard. Mixed to negative score, despite the cool stuff it does. full review on video here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pi9eFCHN6vE

It can be a really good game if it wasn't for so many QTE (Quick Timing Events) that force you time key prompts then force you to key mash. This one giant monster was especially difficult & I gave up after that. Simply not worth the aggravation. Massive screw up from capcom & I'll never buy their games again

The game is bugged at the crab's rematch section. The crab akrid is invincible and cannot die. Preventing me from progressing the game. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!!

not surprised only 22% played it long enough to reach chapter 2 the mysteeerious base reveal. its a bland arcade shooter whose horrible gameplay and enemy design overshadows the ookaay story and okay world design. the characters are all walking annoying satire so the dialogue are bad too sadly and nobody you actly want to talk to. worth 5 bucks still tho

Godamn this game was boring, The entire thing felt like they just slapped "Lost planet" on top of this really uninsprired story, like capcom themselves felt obligated to make this title for the sake of making it. Jim was annoying and boring as a character, none of the other characters in the game had any real depth to them apart from their small amount of backstory that only exists as a plot device. The story itself was slow to progress and most of what youre doing is walking in construction equipment from site to site to fight a giant crab. I dont know how the entire plot was "oh yeah im a fifo worker, im gonna make bank" progressing into "omg the mega corporation that only cares about the profit of what were here to collect doesnt care about us? those bastards" was meant to be compelling. Controls were clunky and slow. everything you did had lag. "push/turn the button" wouldnt work unless you stood exactly in the right spot. Aaaaaand then theres all the crawling, jesus christ it felt like most of my traversal time was crawling though a tunnel. Combat was so bland too, caus were walking through narrow tunnels and paths for the majority of the game it was just stand still and keep shooting until everything stops spawning for the most part. 3/10 give it a miss, theres 30hrs of my life ill never get back
