So, sadly the only way to play this game is having legacy on. If you encounter Lag you gotta Click the Start menu and type Notepad. Right-click Notepad → Run as administrator. If you skip this, you won’t be able to save the file. In Notepad: File → Open. At the bottom of the Open window, change the file type from “Text Documents (.txt)” to **All Files (.*)**. Go to this folder:C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc Open the file named hosts (no extension). Scroll to the bottom and add these two lines on their own lines: text 127.0.0.1 sr3.hydra.agoragames.com 127.0.0.1 sr4.hydra.agoragames.com File → Save. Close Notepad and restart Saints Row 4. It has helped me, and coop is still active. all this does is stop saints row from trying to reach the community character creator. I don't know WHY THEY THOUGHT TO REMOVE THE THING AND NOT UPDATE IT but here we are. Feel free to ask me questions and I'll try to help. Read the other comments as well mentioning how to get the legacy version started. Sorry I'm not very good with remembering but I hope this helps someone in need. Upvote this if this helped you pls. Liked this game, enjoyed it even with the crashing. Owned it on ps3, 360, and ps4. Somehow the PC port is the most unstable, it crashes way more often. What I really hate now though if I want to play this I have to download the ♥♥♥♥♥ ass epic launcher and get forced into the Re-Elected edition when I didn't ask for it. Game is fun and does have great moments but you'll never see them with the PC port. ♥♥♥♥ Epic and Steam for forcing the launcher followed by these pc port issues that shouldn't exist this many iterations in. ♥♥♥♥ the farthest off.

Saints Row IV is where the series goes completely off the rails, and while I don't think it's quite as good as Saints Row 2 or 3, I still had a pretty good time with it. The superpowers are a lot of fun and completely change how you get around the city: running on the sides of the buildings or just jumping over them is much more entertaining than driving everywhere. The missions are also suitably ridiculous, and there's plenty of stupid ♥♥♥♥ to do. That said, I think the game goes a bit too far with the absurdity, and the simulated version of Steelport isn't nearly as interesting as the city in the previous games. Some of the open-world activities also start to feel repetitive after a while. Still, the superpowers make it worth playing, and I enjoyed it more than I expected to.

Overall it is a marvellously enjoyable game, while still suffering from a few of the complaints that the series has always had. This kind of reminds me of GTA 5, but there are a ♥♥♥♥ ton of aliens to kill, and you have SUPER POWERS! This is an excellent game 10/10 This is another game that I've played as a kid back on the Xbox 360, it is still amazing. Edit: I forgot to mention the Paul boss battle, it is hard as hell and horribly unbalanced.

Actually Broken, I have a decent PC, so I was able to play a decent chunk of it however It causes a memory leak to occur with no solutions (at least none I have found). I have reached the point where I can boot the game and after about 30 minutes I need to restart my system. DO NOT GET, NOT FUNCTIONAL,

Fun power fantasy, especially in co-op (when your not dealing with crashes/disconnections due to poor code upkeep. There is no option in game to limit FPS, which is why the game has issues with co-op connectivity.) The story is not bad, would have been more impressive during the year it was released but I do like the whole "it lives" movie theme. But they wrote themselves into a corner causing the new saints row game to be the millennial humor punching bag that it has become. Sadly cars kind of take a back seat in this game due to powers, but at least you can play the radio stations anywhere or anytime.

It is a damn good game best enjoyed with a friend. However, for a Saints Row game, I can understand why the IP went out for a long hiatus after this and Gat Out of Hell. The devs literally wrote themselves into a corner here. The superpowers are a ton of fun for traversal, but that means all the vehicles are obsolete by default for traversing fast since the sprint power exists, which is a damn shame. They handle great, and they are insanely customizable. The combat powers are a lot of fun and easy to execute with a controller as well. Quests can repeat quite a bit, but at least you won't go hungry for more content when you're done. Highly recommend doing all of them to get to level 50 ASAP to get infinite ammo on all your guns. Overall, I think this game stood the test of time, especially if you have a buddy to kick back with and enjoy it together. It's a damn shame that Saints Row is effectively dead thanks to that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ reboot and Volition closing their doors because of it. I hope that proper devs get a hold of the IP and find a way to bring this back to its former glory. And if they do, they better not put that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hacking minigame from this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game into that one. I will personally find that shmuck who implemented that and castrate them. Recommended!
